Chillon Castle and Pro Patria are offering educational workshops that allow children to have direct contact with our monument and its collections through an interactive approach, in a stimulating and learning-driven environment.

Based on the theme of “Restoration Crafts and Trades”, Pro Patria educational workshops highlight the heritage trades and bring professionals and the younger public together. The children will discover Chillon Castle with a historian’s eyes or wearing the hat of an archaeologist or restorer, through creative activities.

These educational workshops will enable them to become familiar with the materials and specialised skills of former years.

These workshops take place during Easter and October holidays in the canton of Vaud. On Wednesdays or Sundays, children have the opportunity to learn about an exciting craft for two hours. It is best if your child already speaks and understands French, although at times he might be helped out in English.

Workshops run from 10 am to 12 noon, and from 2 pm to 4 pm. Entrance is free of charge for parents.
