Dance classes at the Ecole de danse de Genève

General aims:

To offer students a basic training in ballet and contemporary dance. We offer an approach to dance which will gradually bring the child towards classical ballet and contemporary techniques. This program gives young talents access to professional training and to Junior Ballet, an internationally recognized young dancers company.  

Goals towards children:

• Giving astute technique and body awareness whilst preserving their natural way of moving.
• Developing their personality, curiosity, creativity and artistic sense.
• Bringing them the necessary knowledge to allow them to consider dance as an art and a career.
• Working on promoting the field.

For particularly motivated children the Petit Atelier has been set up. It is a group that allows students between 11 and 15 years old to work on choreographies, to meet dance artists of all kinds and watch performances.
