During this week of creative fun, kids will enjoy themselves while discovering the iconic artistic movement of the Belle Epoque in Paris; a movement that inspired Jugendstil in Central Europe.
Art Nouveau, a largely decorative approach to the arts, is characterised by its curves line. It sought its inspiration in nature’s flora to create elaborated and beautiful patterns.
In Paris, Art Nouveau is still visible today in public architecture, notably in the metro stations designed by the architect Hector Guimard.
Children will experiment with a variety of artistic techniques, such as painting, drawing, printmaking, mosaic and stained glass (with paper).
