Water school
Texte tiré de la documentation officielle:
The Water School has been developing and adapting its philosophy and presence since 1986 to accompany parents and babies, toddlers and young children discovering water while attending the school's sessions.
For Baby, discovery is the surest way to secure and rapid learning based on pleasure, without cries or constraints, without betrayal, trusting others while consolidating self-confidence.
Babies gain self-confidence, trust their own capacities because they exercise these as they wish and when they want to do so.
Parents are reassured because they find support in their efforts to accompany their child and everyone's objectives are met.

Well, just to speak for myself and give you my simple conclusion: one either loves or severely dislikes Leni's approach. The perspective of using water as a means to give confidence to my baby very much appealed to me and the first few sessions were relatively ok. Granted, I didn't really appreciate it when squirts of water were spit into our faces "to play", nor the fact that it was too cold for my baby and me (the pool on Satigny is usually heated unlike the physical therapy pool in Versoix)...until the day Leni strongly urged me to drop baby in the water while he was happily gurgling and yomping around by the pool edge, so that he could learn about...danger. I don't know what I looked like but I sure saw the look on his face ... We never went back.
That being said, I am sure that there are parents who will enjoy this method. It is apparently very effective for persons who themselves are afraid of water, which was not the case with me.
