The FAMILY FACTORY FIRMENICH and the KIDS FACTORY FIRMENICH (new) are two creative workshops offered to both adults and children aimed at the discovery of an artwork exhibited at the Centre, through an artistic activity linked to the artwork's theme or technique.

The FAMILY FACTORY FIRMENICH and the KIDS FACTORY FIRMENICH take place in the WORK MOBILE, an “atelier” created by young designers based in Geneva: ANAÏDE ET GREGORY STUDIO. They have produced a fully equipped, practical and adjustable "atelier" on wheels. The "atelier" allows the workshop to offer stimulating activities at the heart of the exhibitions.

The FAMILY FACTORY FIRMENICH and the KIDS FACTORY FIRMENICH are always linked thematically or technically to the exhibition on view. The workshops not only allow children and adults to develop creative skills, they also aim at enhancing their understanding of contemporary art practices. Led by artist and teacher Estelle Germain, the two workshops aim to make contemporary art accessible to a wide audience. (...)

Centre d'Art Contemporain

Fondé en 1974 en tant que Kunsthalle de Genève, le Centre est la première institution d'art contemporain de Suisse romande.
Une Kunsthalle est un espace de production, de recherche et d'expérimentation. Son rôle est la conception d'expositions, la mise en relation active du public avec ces expositions dans le but d'ouvrir un espace de dialogue autour de la culture contemporaine et l'édition de catalogue et de livres d'art. A la différence du musée, une Kunsthalle n'a pas de collection. Tournée vers le futur, elle présente des artistes de la scène émergeante, locale et internationale.. (...)
